A Promiscuous Day (With Food)
(8/09/2008 09:18:00 AM)
Now that we addressed that, I wish to detail what happened during Mass Eating Day. It was highly successful, too successful in fact.
Image 1: The set up before the rampaging hordes demolished it. It was most palatial indeed with royal cloth laid on the table.
The event was originally scheduled to start at 2 pm. However, the caterers arrived earlier, at around 1.20 pm. Combined with most classes being dismissed at 1.30 pm, this lead to a perfect recipe for disaster.
Sure enough, when the bell rang, invading marauders started to gather outside the food complex, milling about and raring to go. The protective walls surrounding the food were starting to fail, and sure enough, by 1.45 pm they had scaled them and started to destroy the fortress.
Image 2: Sated warriors demolishing the royal table.
Image 3: Raging invaders actually queuing up for food. Seems like food brings out the humanity in people.Image 4: Some peasants lounging around.
And the food was indeed plentiful. For a moment scarcity had seemed resolved! The wide variety of delicious, luscious food tempted the soul and induced some to overindulge. (Sightings of mountainous food piles on puny plates were seen) This unfortunately led to some people whom came later (e.g. Mr Gow and some 07S6H seniors) to have practically nothing to eat.
Image 5: The utter devastation left behind by those marauders. HRH Wu Shuang must be displeased by such incivility. (Worse still, how could nothing be left for her???)
Image 6: A small sample of what was available on that day. Dont you wish you could feel that deliciously crunchy dumpling slide down your throat? Or the sweet and sour chicken roll about on the tip of your tongue?
Image 8: Coco innocently chewing on a portion of exotic tropical fruits.
Images 9 and 10: Coco and Liza greedily wolfing down huge portions of delicious meat. Doesn't it make you salivate?
Images 11 and 12: Han Wen and Coco savouring the exquisite dessert provided, which was delightfully cooling.
Image 13: In an most promiscous fashion, Coco savours the refreshingly spicy squid.
The author concludes that Coco is highly suited to be a fabulous food taster in the future or a model for food commercials. Also, I shall not torture you any more, and would just like to leave a note that this is the first time I have posted twice in 12 hrs, making it a record. And of course, happy National Day! (relative to Singapore)
